Mat Pilates

Joseph Hubertus Pilates put together his ‘contrology’ exercises (that we now know as Pilates) approximately 100 years ago. An exercise system synthesised primarily from gymnastics mat training and intended to help the general population live healthier, longer and more enriching lives.  Watch JHP in action here.

Mat Pilates at WDS is taught very much as Joseph Pilates intended. From start towards finish and led by a demonstrating and experienced teacher.

Joseph was a man of few words and clear actions. We honour his legacy.
